Ivan Palomares is a Composer, Conductor and Orchestrator from Spain
Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Madrid's National Conservatory, he has composed music for Film, TV and Videogames, with projects all around the world.
Working at the highest level, his scores have been recorded with some of the best orchestras and have been conducted by the composer himself in renowned studios such as the historic Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros studios in Burbank or the Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century Fox, The Bridge Recording in Glendale, among many others,
Two Times “GOYA” (Spanish Academy Award) and IFMCA (International Film Music Critics Association) Nominee, among many other awards, his music has been aired in more than 240 countries.
His most recent credits include the awarded Feature Film “Dancing on Glass”, the delicate “Love at First Kiss” Netflix Original feature film, Amazon Prime Original Series “The Vineyard” (La Templanza), “The Cook of Castamar” (La Cocinera de Castamar) (Netflix), the Emmy International nominated Series "Blind Dates", the Action Feature films "The Bunker" and “Ron Hopper’s Misfortune” starring James Cosmo (Game of Thrones) and Vinnie Jones (Snatch), the worldwide aired series "A World Apart", and "Pacific", the delicate french short "Le Vent des Regrets", starring Alain Depardieu or the Feature Film "Up Among the Stars,", produced by Cult Spanish Filmmaker Alex de la Iglesia.
As a Conductor, he has worked with several Orchestras and Ensembles in Europe and the United States, such as the renowned OSRTVE, The Budapest Symphonic Orchestra, The Royal Orchestra of Sevilla (ROSS), Orquesta de Extremadura (OEX), the Hollywood Session Orchestra or several other local and international ensembles and, besides Concert Repertoire, he is often called for Conducting Sessions both in Spain and abroad with clients such as King (Bubble Witch Saga 3) Isthar Films (The Chess Player) or for Artists such as the acclaimed Spanish legend Raphael and Legendary 18 Grammy award Rafa Sardina
He has also been invited as a lecturer in International Conferences and Workshops (SAE Institute, MUCA, SGAE Foundation, Eutherpe Congress, TAI, etc) and has participated in several seminars and workshops worldwide (Berlinale Talent Campus, Hummie Mann and Ascap-Richard Bellis Film Scoring Workshops, or at the International Sound and Film Music Festival in a panel shared with internationally acclaimed composers Stephen Warbeck and Rupert Gregson-Williams
BIO EN ESPAÑOL
Iván Palomares de la Encina (Madrid, 1977), realiza sus estudios de música en el Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, en las especialidades de Dirección de Orquesta y Composición, completando su formación en Bélgica, Escocia, Alemania y Estados Unidos.
Desarrolla su carrera profesional en el ámbito de la música de concierto (como compositor y director) y en el de la composición para medios audiovisuales, participando en numerosos proyectos para cine, danza, teatro y televisión, tanto en España como en el extranjero.
En su trayectoria ha sido reconocido con más de veinte premios y nominaciones internacionales por sus obras para cine y concierto, dirigiendo y trabajando con orquestas y artistas de primer nivel como la OSRTVE, ROSS, OEX, Habemus Quartet, el Grupo de Música Barroca “La Folía” o el Sexteto Barbieri, y en salas como el Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid, Teatro Monumental de Madrid o los Estudios Warner Bros en Los Angeles, California.
Apasionado de proyectos artísticos multidisciplinares, sus partituras han sido galardonadas y reconocidas a nivel nacional e internacional, consiguiendo 2 nominaciones a los Premios Goya de la Academia de Cine Español, Premio Berlanga de la Academia Audiovisual Valenciana, 3 Premios MundoBSO a la mejor Banda Sonora Española, además de otros reconocimientos y nominaciones nacionales e internacionales como la de Compositor Revelación por la Asociación Internacional de Críticos de Música de Cine (IFMCA). Sus últimos trabajos son los largometraje “Las Niñas de Cristal” y “Eres tú” (Netflix Original), la serie “La Templanza” (Amazon Prime Original), La Cocinera de Castamar (A3Media, Netflix) “La Desgracia de Ron Hopper” (Largometraje de Jaime Falero) o el controvertido largometraje documental “Palabras para un Fin del Mundo”
